Swamp Loosestrife

A shrubby perennial with 1 to 10 ft. long, arching, leafy stems, often rooting at the tips. Arching stems have showy, dense clusters of bell-shaped deep pink flowers. The leaves resemble a willow, although not related.  Wherever a stem touches the water, air-filled, spongy tissue may develop. Good for large bog gardens and pond margins, often arching over the water.
